Chunky Baskets and French Stripe Pillows

You know I have a bit of a 'thing' for chunky baskets.

Love them stacked in the corner of a room or set next to a chair with extra pillows or a blanket.

Even better when they are wearing the perfect patina 

and when they have the sweetest little wheels.

Something about baskets or bins on wheels just makes my knees a little weak.

By the Seashore & Giveaway

While browsing through Gallery Direct the other day,

 I just might have been daydreaming a bit about the seashore and when I would get there next.

I was in the photo vault~ which let me tell you can keep you mesmerized for hours.
There is simply so much to choose from.
But when I saw this piece~ I loved it instantly and knew it was the one.

It is vintage inspired done in soft faded colors vintagey feeling colors and texture.

That shoreline. The seagulls. The sea. The little old boat in the sand.

It reminds me of sunshiney days with my toes in the warm sand & the smell of the sea in my hair.

I love it.

Happy Halloween Everyone!!!

Are you ready for Trick-or-treating?

Well it seems like we have started cold and flu season off with a bang this year~

my daughter isn't feeling good and she and her good friends aren't feeling trick or treating this year. 

 :( 

Instead, she plans to watch a Ghost Adventures marathon

 and trick or treat for candy from the bowl in the kitchen

It's okay with me but I can't help feeling a little sad that this is the first time since

Ryan was born  (20 years ago)  that we aren't out trick or treating.  :(   

My boys are talking about getting together with a few friends~ 

so it looks like it will be a quiet night for the girls at home.

What better time to put up a little TREAT for French Country Cottage readers!
